In Ghana, for an up and coming artist to make it in the entertainment industry, requires hard work and dedication.

And that is what Ghanaian R&B and Afro-fusion singer Jacqueline Acheampong also popularly known as Gyakie is doing and reaching for the stars with her craft.

The 23-year old singer has been named a part of the YouTube Black Voices Fund Music Class 2023.

This makes her the only Ghanaian female artist to be named amongst a myriad of Black Creators from around the world one of Ghana’s producers Juls.

Countries like Jamaica, the United States, Nigeria, Australia, and Brazil among others.

As a member of the BVF Class of 2023, Gyakie as well as over 30 named Black creators Nigeria’s BNXN, Asake, America’s production duo, Take A Daytrip and South Africa’s MashBeatz will be equipped with the right resources and support to help amplify their voices in a way like no other.

This will as well aim to provide Black innovators, artistes, composers, and producers with direct financial assistance to support their YouTube and have a platform to share their opinions and experiences.

The announcement was posted on the original YouTube page on social media to announce the artists

Congratulations were in order for Gyakie, who is clearly overjoyed and unable to contain her excitement as she announces the accomplishment with the words “OOOH THIS IS CRAZY” on her Twitter page.

The programme, since its inception two years ago, has supported artists Grammy Award-winning producer Jay Versace, E! People’s Choice Award Nominee The Oddity and Webby Award winning group the Critics Company.

As one of Ghana’s current rising stars, Gyakie has proven time and  again that hard work, talent and great management does indeed pay off.

She’s definitely a force to reckon with, earmarking her growth and progress with several major successes.

After the release of her sophomore project, the “My Diary” EP, Gyakie has added up to her many achievements, showing no sign of stopping soon.
