How The Black Stars Could Line Up With Injury Concerns

Ghana will start its World Cup campaign against Portugal on the 24th November before taking on South Korea and Uruguay in the last games of the group stage.

Coach Otto Addo is expected to name his final squad today for the upcoming Mundial but faces tough decisions as 3 of the 26 players he was rumoured to have selected have been ruled out with injury concerns this weekend.

First and second choice goalkeepers, Joseph Wallocot and Richard Ofori as well as midfielder Iddrisu Baba are the players who have reportedly been ruled out with injury.

This leaves Otto Addo with Ati Zigi, Manaf and Ibrahim Danlad as the options for the goalkeeping department. Elisha Owusu is also expected to replace injured Iddrisu Baba in the final 26-man squad.

The Black Stars will face Switzerland in a friendly game before the start of the World Cup. It is expected that Ati Zigi will be deployed as the first choice goalkeeper.

Amartey, Djiku and Salisu as the 3 back. Baba Rahman and Tariq as wing backs. Thomas Partey and Elisha Owusu as midfielders. Kudus, Dede Ayew and Iniaki Williams will complete the front 3.
