Otto Addo Drops Two Goalkeepers From 55-Man Provisional Squad?

News emerging from the Black Stars camp has it that two goalkeepers have been dropped from the provisional World Cup squad.

Head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo named an initial 55-man squad for the Worls Cup in Qatar with the squad to be pruned down to 26.

The said goalkeepers who have reportedly been dropped are Asante Kotoko’s goalkeeper, Danlad Ibrahim and St. Gallen goalkeeper, Lawrence Ati-Zigi.

The news is not yet confirmed so it remains to be seen if the squad will include the two goalkeepers or they will be dropped as coach Otto Addo names his squad on Friday.

The Black Stars are making their fourth World Cup appearance after debut show in Germany 2006 before subsequent appearances at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

The next World Cup appearance is the one in Brazil in 2014 where Ghana exited at the group stage of the competition.
