Hearts of Oak recorded a win against Kotoku Royals over the weekend to match a 100 percent start to office for new manager, Slavko Matic.
The Phobians endured a slow start to the season that coupled with the sacking of Samuel Boadu and their exit from the CAF Confederations Cup.
In the game against Kotoku Royals, the Accra based club suffered to break down the new boys in the Ghana Premier League with so many missed chances. However, a goal from Daniel Afriyie Barnieh was enough to give the Phobians the needed win.
Speaking after the game, Coach Slavko Matic appreciated his side’s effort to win the game but demanded more from his team. He said “We must play more with the ball like we did in the first half. We created more chances in the second half but we sat back a little. We should have changed the system and formation but we did what is necessary for the team”.
Hearts of Oak are currently 7th in the Ghana Premier League and will face Karela on Sunday.
