New Patriotic Party Activist, Atik Yakubu has asked Akufo-Addo to sacrifice Ken Ofori-Atta’s position as the Finance Minister as the party did for him.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page today, he wrote;
“At first it was 80 NPP MPs wanting Ken Ofori Atta out. Just yesterday, the Majority Leader who is also minister of state in charge of Parliamentary Affairs stated on radio that , all MPs want Ken out but yet still the President has turned deaf ears to his own MPs . Will he be happy if his cousin , the finance minister gets to parliament and the whole MPs stage a walkout?”
“People were sacrificed to win power. I haven’t been a supporter Afoko and Kwabena. In fact , the allegations we leveled against them had no evidence but we still went with it because that was what the grassroots cried for. With your blessings and motivated by your ambition to be President, we as a party myself engineered to get the National Chairman and the General Secretary of our party out.
Something that has never happened in Africa. But we did it. We took the risk. Mr President , it’s your time to also sacrifice your cousin. People’s cousins, husbands, brothers were sacrificed for your ambitions.” Atik Yakubu remarked.
According to Atik Yakubu it is a fact that , not the party but your ambition. All the party is asking for is sacrifice a position your cousin has been occupying for 6 years to appease the party and the country. We did it for you as a person . Just one person , do this for the 30 million Ghanaians.
