NDC Still Pursuing “Ken Must Go” Agenda – Minority Leader

Bagbin resummons Ofori-Atta; orders him to face Parliament on June 22 after  no-show

Member of Parliament for Tamale South and the current minority speaker for Parliament, Honourable Haruna Iddrisu has reaffirmed the NDC’s position on the sacking of the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta.

According to the minority leader, the opposition party will not back down on their course and have invited NPP MP’s who are still interested to join their course.

It can be recalled that the Majority leader issued a statement stating that the members of the party are aligned and any action against the finance minister will have to wait till the completion of the IMF negotiations as well as the presentation of the 2023 budget to Parliament.

Speaking on the floor of the house, Hurana Iddrisu reiterated that the motion for the censure of the finance minister will be moved. He said  “Mr Speaker, I have between today and 10th November to move the motion and I will move the motion. Those like-minded persons who will dance with us, Mr Speaker, they will be welcomed in the secret ballots”
