Black Stars goalkeeper Jojo Wallacot has issued a strong word of caution to some media persons who are seeking to tarnish his image. The goalkeeper was at the end of several criticisms after he conceded 4 goals over the weekend.
In a post on his social media account, Wollacot took the opportunity to clarify things to his fans and also assure the public that he has not made any comments or interviews on Ghana’s opponent in the world cup.
He said “I would like to make clear to all the fans, my supporters, GFA and all the nation of Ghana, that I have not made such statements in the media nor given any interviews about our opponents as it has been said in the Ghanaian media”.
He added that “We are Ghana/Ghanaians we don’t fear who our opponents are or who we face or who we come across in a game of football. It’s a shame that some of the media has to go to this length to try and tarnish my image in Ghana”.
Ghana will start its world cup campaign against Portugal before facing Uruguay and South Korea.
