Many musicians have come and gone in the music business, and many of them have produced music that will go on to become classics.

One minute you have a smash hit, and the next you can’t even string together a few words to form a coherent sentence and this has been the story of Yaw Tog, Patapaa, Nana Boroo, Quamina MP, Et Al.

One-hit wonders were both the songs that were very popular for just a brief time and the musicians who got famous because of them.

But if you want to make it as a musician, you have to put in a lot of work to make sure you remain on top.

1. Yaw Tog

The track “Sore” by the young Ghanaian rapper Yaw Tog woke up the country.

When Yaw Tog, then a Senior High School student, released the street song “Sore,” it quickly became a hit and earned him the title of “Hip-hop Song of the Year” at the 2021 Vodafone Ghana Awards.

And the hard truth is that since the release of “Sore,” Yaw Tog has seemingly disappeared and has not released any banger for obvious reasons.

2. Patapaa

Despite the fact that his music was incomprehensible to the general public, this performer managed to achieve widespread fame.

The song “one corner,” which he released, became a sensation in Ghana and beyond; later, with the release of “Daavi ne ba,” he achieved viral success once again. A Christmas smash from him is still anticipated.

3. Quamina MP

The “While Ghanaian music fans have only had a little time to experience Amanfuor Girls” hitmaker’s caliber of ability, he is working hard to obtain widespread recognition.

His discography isn’t exactly bursting at the seams with tunes, “With “Amanfuor Girls,” the temperature was turned way up.

4. J. Derobie

In 2019, J Derobie rose to prominence following the release of his first commercial single, “Poverty,” which was well received by music fans in Ghana and abroad, earning praise from industry insiders.

J.Derobie’s following singles have not been as popular as his break out hit, despite being handled by one of the largest record companies in Nigeria. The song went on to win Reggae Dancehall Song of the year at the VGMA 2020 awards.

  1. Nana Boroo

After the release of his song “aha ye de,” this singer became well known across Ghana. To put it simply, the song was king for a while and a lot of people loved it.

After that, he dropped another top-notch single, and suddenly, we stopped hearing from him as often as we used to.
