Chelsea And Manchester United To Battle For Sports Director

Chelsea and Manchester United are set to battle for ex Liverpool Sports director, Michael Edwards. The two clubs have been without a sporting director and are interested in getting the signature of one of the highly rated sports directors in football.

Michael Edwards has been rumoured to be blown by the Chelsea project but is currently taking a sabbatical leave from all footballing activities and therefore will not make any decision until then.

The former Liverpool sporting director was responsible for the transfers of Mohammed Salah, Van Dijk, Alisson and Sadio Mane to the club. He also helped Liverpool win their first premier league trophy in 30 years while also winning the Champions League.

Manchester United’s interest is also real and the red devils are looking to tempt the director to the club.

Chelsea will meanwhile focus on finding other persons to fit in their group structure before the appointment of a sporting director. The West London club together with their new owners are making fast moves in their recruitment model.
