NDC Election Directorate declared elections held in Atiwa West, Mpraeso, and Afram Plains invalid

Following their constituency elections, the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) National Elections Directorate sent notice that it will reject the election results from specific electoral zones.

These areas are Atiwa West, Mpraeso and Afram Plains South.

The party stated in a press statement that the Directorate had previously ordered the delay of elections in those constituencies; nonetheless, the constituency went ahead and held the polls anyway.

The National Election Directorate wishes to state for the record that the aforementioned alleged elections in certain constituencies were invalid since they were held in violation of the law. The party stated that it “does not and will not recognize such elections or their results.”

The party also stated that this decision covers other constituencies that have transgressed other Elections Directorate instructions in the way they conducted their elections, particularly the inclusion of branches that are prohibited from voting and the exclusion or inclusion of individuals who were either qualified or disqualified from being on the ballot sheet during the appeals process.

A complete list of these constituencies will be published in the upcoming days by the Elections Directorate. As soon as possible, the party will hold elections in these districts under the supervision of the National Elections Directorate,” it was added.

The Elections Directorate will soon provide a comprehensive list of these constituencies. The National Elections Directorate will oversee elections that the party will conduct as soon as feasible in these areas.

“Every member is equal to the party. Things of this kind cause discord inside the group and ultimately work to break it up. We implore all members to follow the party’s established regulations “, and it was added
