“Asamoah Gyan Will Help Black Stars at The World Cup” – Ex-Ghana Winger

Ex-Black Stars winger, Laryea Kingston says former Black Ghana captain, Asamoah Gyan’s presence will be vital in Qatar.

The Black Stars have qualified for the World Cup and they did that after beating Nigeria over a two leg aggregate.

The first leg of that game ended goalless with the reverse fixture producing a 1-1 score line.

The Black Stars qualified over the away goal rule and will appear at their fourth FIFA World Cup after a debut in Germany 2006 and subsequent appearances in South Africa and Brazil 2014.

Ghana missed out on the 2018 edition in held in Russia but have now qualified for the next edition to be held in Qatar.

Asamoah Gyan is Africa’s top scorer at the FIFA World Cup with six goals and Laryea Kingston says his presence will be needed despite his inactivity.

“For me I think Asamoah Gyan’s presence in the team will help a lot because he possesses a lot of qualities.

“Because now many people will say he’s been out for sometime and it won’t be hundred percent.

“As a technical person, if I assess a player like that, I will need him in my squad, I will say he won’t be a starter but definitely at some point in the game, I can bring him on and he can be a game changer for me.” Laryea KingSton said.
