Coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo has been tasked to release the list of players for the upcoming World Cup tournament this week.
The Black Stars are in a group with Portugal, Uruguay and South Africa. The West African side are the lowest ranked side in the group and the whole tournament and are not expected to qualify from the group.
Ahead of the squad release, it has been hinted that about 70 percent of the players that made the squad for the friendly games against Brazil and Nicaragua will be in the squad. It has also been rumoured that there will be some new faces that would make appearances for the Black Stars.
One notable mention is Chelsea’s Hudson Odoi. The player has been rumoured to be in negotiations with the Ghana Football Association and a switch to play for Ghana could be on the cards.
Local players such as Daniel Barnieh and Ibrahim Danlad are also expected to make the list.Â
