Official: Hearts of Oak Appoint Samuel Boadu’s Replacement

Accra Hearts of Oak have officially appointed a new coach to replace the departed Samuel Boadu.

Samuel Boadu and the 21 time Ghana Premier League champions parted ways after just three games into the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.

The Phobians started the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League campaign on a bad note – losing the opening game to Aduana Stars.

Hearts of Oak were pinned down by 1-0 courtesy Bright Agyei’s 88th minute strike at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.

Their next stop was against city rivals, Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium in the “Ga Mashie” derby and the game produced a 1-1 score line after the entire duration.

Their third game of the season was a cracker of a fixture where they faced arch rivals, Asante Kotoko at Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The poor results led to the exit of coach Samuel Boadu and the Phobians have now settled on an expatriate in the person of Slavko Matic.
