Former Ashanti Regional Deputy Minister, Joseph Yammin has criticized President Akufo-Addo over his recent comments against the residents of Kwabre in the Ashanti Region.
Residents of Kwabre have threatened to vote out the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) if they fail to construct their town roads.
When asked to comment on this during a radio interview on Kumasi-based Otec FM, President Akufo-Addo said such threats do not scare him.
However, reacting to this, Mr Yammin described the President as an “arrogant’ individual who is also “ignorant” of the plight of the people of Kwabre.
He went further to make the following statements on Kumasi-based Ultimate 106.9 FM on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.
‘‘Nana Addo does not respect anybody in the country after he begged us for votes to become president, how can he speak in such a cheeky manner to his own people.
“The Kwabre people have been deprived and they are demanding their due, you are saying they should not speak now, how ignorant can you be?
“The man is just arrogant; he is arrogant even in his ignorance.
“Do you remember how he responded to the Kpando chief on the E block completion, I am not surprised these things are happening, he started speaking this way after the 2020 elections, he has what he wanted so he does not care about them again’’ he said.
