Lightheadedness is similar to dizziness but different in many ways. Dizziness occurs as in the case whereby, a person feels like the surrounding area is spinning around them. Whereas lightheadedness is more of a situation where blow flow in the brain is short.
One common cause of lightheadedness is as a result of dehydration. The lack of water in the body may cause dizziness, and low blood flow in the brain. Also, nausea may set in and the victim might sweat profusely.
The best way to handle lightheadedness is by drinking lots of water, and resting well. Not only that though, incase the feeling arises, make sure not to rush activities and to move more slowly. This is so to avoid any falls which could result in injury.
More importantly, lightheadedness should not last very long. Hence, if you experience lightheadedness for over a week, it would be best to seek medical attention.
