Stretching while in this condition will either make things worse or make it harder for you to recover fast. People with any of the following medical conditions should avoid stretching:

– If you have a recent or ongoing injury, particularly in the area of your abdomen, your doctors will advise you to avoid stretching and will stress this to you. You must allow your muscles time to relax and rest. If you do not make a change, you will ultimately go too far.

– You should stop stretching and schedule a visit with a doctor right away if you are stretching and experience pain in a part of your body that you are unfamiliar with.
