Trouble in paradise as Kuame Eugene suggests he wants to leave Lynx, says ‘suro nipa’ » ™

There’s trouble brewing in the camp of Lynx Entertainment if the latest post made by A-list artiste Kuame Eugene is anything to go by.

The serial hitmaker tweeted that he has tried everything humanly possible to stay at the formidable record label but the centre can no longer hold.

Although he did not mention the name of his record label in the controversial post, the signs have been on the wall from the onset hence deciphering his message is a no-brainer.

To set tongues wagging even more, Kuame Eugene said, ‘Suro Nipa’, to wit- fear humans, which vastly suggests that there’s a volcano erupting in the camp of Richie Mensah- the boss of the label.

To some extent, this new development adds to the notorious reputation of the label whereby mainstream artists leave unceremoniously and seek solace elsewhere after internal wranglings which never surface for us to know.

Kuami Eugene participated in season 5 of the reality competition program MTN Hitmaker, where he placed third overall in 2016.

Soon after, Lynx Entertainment signed him, and he has since released a number of singles. The song “Angela” had one million YouTube views in 2017, the most of any song by a label member, and was listed as one of Ghana’s top 10 songs.

He is a featured musician on DJ Vyrusky and Shatta Wale’s song “Adwenfi.” He released “Confusion” in 2018 as a follow-up to the “Angela” song’s narrative. Additionally, in response to the critical remarks he had been receiving on social media, he released the song “Wish Me Well” in June 2018.

We will keep our fingers crossed and wait to see how things unfold in the coming days.
