A 44-year-old man named Kwadwo Akwaboa told in an interview how his sister-in-law allegedly sold his son to another woman months ago. According to the man, he lived with his wife in Offinso after they got married, they tried for a long period before his wife became pregnant. But Five months into his wife’s pregnancy, the mother-in-law began having issues with him, in addition he experienced difficulties and lost his job afterwards. He also had to bring his wife back to live with her parents for a while.
Sadly, the woman died three years after giving birth to their son, it was sad thing that happened to him but he mustered up his courage and moved on with his life. Although his in laws didn’t allow him to attend his wife’s funeral but they agreed to stay with his son. Akwaboah said he travelled to Northern to work as a shoemaker but he continued to support his only son he had with his late wife by sending money to his mother-in-law to meet the child’s needs.
Few days ago, he received a rumor from a friend that his sister-in-law had allegedly sold the child to someone else in Accra without his consent meanwhile he takes care of him. He thought it was just a rumor but when he travelled back to Kumasi and went to see his sister-in-law, they revealed to him that they had sent the child to stay with another woman in Accra.
The man added that he asked his late wife’s sister for the contact number of that woman with whom his child resides, but she boldly told him that she did not know the contact number or the particular place they are staying in Accra. Akwaboah claims he began to believe the rumours he heard from his friend, he did everything he could to find out where his son was, but none of his in-laws was willing to help him see his son again. The man is asking his sister-in-law to bring his son back to him.
