Bosome Freho DCE Interdicted By Akuffo-Addo After Leaked Tape

The Chief Executive (DCE) of the Bosome Freho District in the Ashanti Region has been interdicted by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

In a tape that was leaked, Yaw Danso was heard claiming a portion of a share in a galamsey concession and enticing others to approach Chinese people late at night to demand money for illegal mining.

President Akufo-Addo called him through Daniel Botwe, the minister of local government, rural development, and decentralization.

At a crucial conference in Kumasi, President Akufo-Addo promised his fellow chief executives that the matter would be thoroughly probed. The president once more gave Mr. Botwe instructions to suspend Mr. Danso on Friday, October 14.

“The suspension, which is effective immediately, would permit appropriate agencies to conduct investigations to confirm the authenticity of the supposed audio recording.”
