I Will Resign If IMF Gives Us 1 Dollar Before 30th November 2022 – Capt Smart Throws A Challenge

Ghana is currently in an economic quagmire about the depreciation of the cedi and illegal mining activities and without a doubt, it would be extremely difficult for the government to bring the country back on track. Numerous suggestions by technocrats to the government to check the rate at which we borrowed, fell on death ears.

Here we go again, seeking an IMF bailout after countless promises given to Ghanaians. The economic management team headed by the vice president created an impression that with his expertise, the cedi depreciation would be curtailed. Everything pledged earlier to the masses isn’t a true reflection of what we are seeing today.

Captain Smart, the indefatigable morning show host has this morning put his job on the line about the International Monetary Fund’s financial assistance to the country and called out certain individuals on his program and lambasted them. He attributed the current hardship to the incompetence of this administration.

He threw a challenge that should the financial institution give Ghana any money during this negotiation with the government by the 30th of November 2002, he will resign as a journalist.

According to him, statistics on Ghana’s economy at the World Bank, and what the government is presenting to the IMF do not match; the reason for the delay. The IMF has realized that the Russian-Ukraine war effect on the economy that they were made to believe in isn’t that significant.
