A lady named Gifty Boateng from Asuofia in the Ashanti region tells the reason why her husband divorce her after six months of their wedding ceremony. According to the lady, she dated her husband named Foster for several months before he asked her hand in marriage. After their wedding she noticed that her husband often goes on business trips for weeks before returning home.
Gifty said she also visits her grandmother who is sick and unable to do anything for herself whenever her husband travels. But the man warned her not to visit her grandmother again, even though it was difficult for her, but she complied with the man’s orders to save her marriage. After six months of their wedding, Foster traveled again.
This time too, she receives a call from her grandmother begging her to come visit her and also cook for her. She became so sad about her grandmother’s condition which made her ignored her husband’s advice and went to visit her grandmother, unfortunately her phone battery was low and could not call her husband to inform him. The lady went on saying that Foster too returned from his trip in her absence.
He tried to call her but her phone was switched off and he was not having their keys too, so he broke the door before entering their room. The next morning, Foster and her mother drove to her parents’ house with her belongings, claiming that they wanted a divorce her because she had spent the night elsewhere without informing them. That was when her mother also called her to tell her about Foster’s intentions to divorce her.
But when the man learned she was at her grandmother’s house, he rushed to her and begged her to forgive him for trying to divorce her. Gifty said she accepted the apology and went to stay with her husband while her belongings was still at her parents’ house. What had happened generate a fight between her mother and the man’s parents.
To make peace, although Foster went to plead with them with some elders to forgive him but her mother told him to bring his parents first before she accepting the apology. Gifty said she waited for her husband for eight years, but he never came back with his parents to apologise with them. Two months ago, she received a call from the elders of her who invited them to a meeting.
They tried to resolve their marital issues for them to reconciled again, but she didnt agree with any of them to reconciled with her husband again. The annoying part is that her grandmother didn’t allow her to marry again because they all thought Foster will come back to her again. Gifty claims she doesn’t want to go back her husband,so she wants her parents to allow her marry another man and move on in life.
