I Am Disappointed: Your Silence Means There Is No Power In Golden Stool – Kevin Taylor Calls Out Nana

When all institutions fail and are unable to perform their mandated functions, the chieftaincy establishment is the last resort. In the olden days, traditional authorities ruled with all of their heart and ensured that the needs of their subjects are met.

Presently, it appears the chiefs are not living up to expectations about illegal mining and other sickening issues confronting their localities. It is a crying shame to see most water bodies polluted and forests destroyed while our chiefs are quiet.

Kevin Taylor has expressed his disappointment in the King of the Ashantis:Otumfuor Nana Osei Tutu for sitting on the fence about “galamsey.” He poured his heart out by indicating that the silence of the King leave a lot to be desired.

Commenting on the negative effects of the menace, Kevin asked why the King is quiet while the people suffer knowing very well how this menace is destroying everything. He continued by saying that all the needed respect is accorded the King and he was appointed to lead Ashanti as a king.

“If you gave an ultimatum that within 24 hours no excavator should be found on your land, it would be adhered to. Today people are doing what they want because there is no power in the stool. This is my reaction to Otumfuor’s silence on Galamsey. I have kept this within me for years, he concluded.
