Former Chairman Harry Zakkour rallies support for Hearts of Oak ahead of Real Bamako game on Sunday

Former chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak Harry Zakkour believes the club can overturn the three goal deficit they suffered against Real Bamako and qualify to the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup competition.

The Phobians, lost 0-3 to the Malians in Bamako last Saturday, meaning they have work to do if they hope to advance past Real Bamako on Sunday.

Mr Zakkour, who led Hearts of Oak to win the maiden edition of this competition in the season of 2004/05, believes the team can win over Real Bamako on Sunday.

He told Accra-based radio station Hot FM that, this is within the reach of the Phobians in overturning the scoreline.

“It’s football but very unfortunate to lose by that margin. I will be at the stadium to support the club on Sunday and God willing, we can overturn the result.”.

He added: “It’s possible so let’s see how it goes on Sunday.”

He called on supported of the club to turn up in their numbers at the stadium on Sunday to cheer the boys on for victory.
