NSMQ 2022: Kumasi Based Senior High School Withdraws From The Competition

The National and Mathematics competition which takes every year has begun today across the nation. The renowned quiz competition between different senior high schools has equipped many people to get the most scholarship to study at the tertiary level. The competition began today 10th October 2022 and one of the vibrant schools in the Ashanti Region has withdrawn from it. T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior Secondary School, Kumasi has been removed from the 2022 Public Title of the National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ), which began on Monday, October 10, 2022, at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. The school, famously known as Amass, was important for nine (9) top runners-up from the 2022 Territorial Qualifiers welcomed to partake in the Fundamental Phase of the national quizzed.

In a letter to Early evening, makers of the NSMQ, Mr. Ahmed K. Boampong, Colleague and Head administrator of the school, showed that after the school’s loss during the Ashanti Local Qualifiers, their competitors focused on the WASSCE. T.I. Store up was booked to contend in Challenge 22 against Kumasi Secondary School and Samuel Otu Presby SHS on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at the Sarah-Mensah Assembly hall.

“When the call-up was extended to us, our contestants had all gone home. When we assembled them finally, we realized they had all gone rusty. We tried our very best to bring them up to a level that will make them make a mark during the competition, but try as we did, our students were still not pulling themselves.”
