Kwame Baffoe, also known as Abronye has sought to discredit John Dramani Mahama over these past years and in a heartbeat has written or spoken ill about the fine gentleman. At the slightest opportunity, all manner of allegations is leveled against the former president who keeps a cool head and responds maturely.
In recent months, the issue of ex-gratia was discussed on several electronic platforms with many opponents of the former president accusing him of receiving certain amounts and retirement packages.
Mr. John Dramani Mahama kept a civil tongue in his head when he debunked those rumors and explained further to set the record straight regarding his pension benefits.
As many think the issues have died down, the Bono Regional chairman has re-introduced this topic once again and this particular politician is bent on verbally attacking the personality of the former President. In a Facebook post, he used unprintable words to describe the former president.
A portion of his statement stated that the assertion by John Dramani Mahama to have received only his monthly salary since his government lost power and that he received GHC 238,000 is untrue. He continued by indicating that in July of 2021, Mr. Mahama received an additional GHC 728,000 into his account as ex-gratia by the controller and accountant general.
He attached a certain document containing the bank account transactions of the former president. It is however not clear where the document emanated.
