Black Sherif Enskinned As ‘King Of The Youth’ In Tamale

Ghanaian musician, Black Sherif has been enskinned King Of The Youth in the Northern Regional capital, Tamale.

His Royal Nyab Dakpen Naa, Chief of Tamale, conferred on him Nanchi Naa, which can be translated into English as King of the Youth during his visit to the Chief as a Courtesy demand.

The title embodies qualities such as aspiration, autonomy, strength, optimism, hard work, perseverance, resolve, professionalism, and many more.

The title bestowed on him was the Chief and his elder’s way of showing appreciation to the young gem for the incredible work he is exerting, in his quest to sell the Ghanaian culture to the diaspora and also create an alluring trademark for the youth.

Black Sherif traveled to the Northern part of the country to promote his recently released debut album ‘The Villain I Never Was’.

He arrived in Tamale on Monday, October 10, 2022, and has since been to a couple of radio and television stations, and some educational institutions.

The album is a 14-track body of work featuring only Burna Boy.

The album has amassed more than 80 million streams in less than a week on audiomack after its release, occupied Ghana Apple music, and has also become the first Ghanaian album to top Nigeria’s iTunes.
