Opinion: How would Citizens React if 1km Road In Fanteakwa South District Is Bitumen Surfaced?

It’s very disheartening when authorities keep on promising and giving different dates as to when contractors would be on the road.

Fanteakwa South district in the eastern region has a member of parliament, Hon. Kofi Okyere Agyekum on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP with the finance minister who also hails from the same district, but no town, community or village in the district/constituency has been tarred.

One cannot fathom why with these people in government and a host of them serving in various positions in government can not bring what the majority of the residents would say ‘coaltar’ to the district. Yet Fanteakwa South is touted a very stronghold of the NPP in that whoever vies on the ticket of the NPP would surely win.

Will the narrative hold or change if the roads are not fixed in time? What is wrong in Fanteakwa South? Why have the roads been abandoned? Is there anything the citizenry need to know? Why are you bent on giving vain promises with respect to Fanteakwa South roads? Why is Fanteakwa South neglected in the year of roads mantra under Nana Akufo-Addo’s regime?
