Edouard Mendy has been advised that he should leave Chelsea to salvage his career, according to some fans.
The Senegal international was again out as the Blues overpowered Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-0 in Saturday’s Premier League match – with Graham Potter starting Kepa Arrizabalaga in goal.
Mendy last featured for the Stamford Bridge giants against West Ham United. Although the two-time European champions won 2-1 back then, the 30-year-old suffered a barrage of criticism because of his insipid display.
With Kepa now starting in Chelsea’s last four matches in all competitions, the Lion of Teranga goalie’s future in West London is in question.
Kepa’s resurgence will dampen Mendy’s negotiation for improved wages because I don’t foresee Chelsea warming up to paying huge wages to both keepers!! Pity for Mendy, now that Kepa has returned to his best form. It becomes difficult for Mendy to get the supposed and deserved pay increase for the good work he did in the past two seasons.

Some fans are of the view that complacency may has cost him his spot in the starting lineup for Chelsea. The series of mistakes was becoming unacceptable. Let him sit on the bench for now if that will help him to improve.
