GPL clubs gets busy with friendlies as they await resumption of top-flight league

Ghanaian top-flight sides have been getting themselves busy with local friendlies as they await the resumption of the betPawa Premier League.

The competition is on hold after AshantiGold SC took the Ghana Football Association, (GFA) to court for what they have termed unfair treatment in a matter of match fixing.

Asante Kotoko

Ghana champions Asante Kotoko have already played two friendlies, scoring seven goals in the process and keeping a clean sheet as well.

The Porcupines defeated Pau Academy 2-0 in the first friendly and on Wednesday, they beat DOL Zone Two side Asokwa Deportivo 5-0 in another friendly played at their Adako Jachie training complex.

Real Tamale United

The Pride of the North, beat Tamale Utrecht 3-1 in an encounter played on Wednesday in Tamale as they prepare for the resumption of the season.

Accra Great Olympics

The Wonder Club, drew 1-1 with lower tier side Lazio Sports Academy in an encounter played at their training grounds at the McDan Astro Turf at La in Accra.

Dreams FC

Dreams FC, lost 2-1 to the national U-23 team, the Black Meteors in a game played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

Medeama SC

The Yellow and Mauves, will play promoted FC Samartex 1996 at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa on Sunday as the club’s lie in wait for the league to restart with the Matchday Four fixtures.
