A Ghanaian woman probably between the ages of 30 and 35 years old has been caught stealing food items in a provision store and many social media users after coming across this video couldn’t keep mute over it. The items she stole include sardine, tin tomatoes, and cooking oil among others. If you watch the video carefully, you can see that the owner of the shop was asking her why she stole the items but she was too shy to reply here.
The owner of the shop was overheard in the video saying this in the typical Twi language, “Why did you steal all these items from my shop?”. The woman replied to her saying, ” Please forgive me, I don’t know what came over me. Please forgive me”. However, the shop owner insisted on knowing the reason why the lady stole those food items from her shop.
Some Ghanaians after coming across this video said that they believe the woman is a mother and her children are probably hungry. The items she stole from the shop are not many. She is not stealing them to go and sell but to cook and eat. Others also blamed the current hardship in the country. They argued that hunger is very painful and the woman was probably hungry.
