“Accra Hearts of Oak Will Struggle in CAF Confederation Cup” – Ex-Ghana Winger

Ex-Ghana winger, Laryea Kingston says Hearts of Oak will experience challenges going into Africa.

The Phobians are yet to appoint a head coach following the exit of Samuel Boadu.

Hearts of Oak have named David Ocloo as an assistant and he will lead the club in the CAF Confederation Cup but Laryea has his reservations about the decision.

The Phobians were a toast of their fans last two seasons where they swept the board ahead of their seton rivals, Asante Kotoko.

They won the Ghana Premier League before proceeding to win the MTN FA Cup at the expense of now demoted AshantiGold.

Accra Hearts of Oak played out a goalless draw against AshantiGold and even finished the extra time goalless at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Phobians went on to win the finals with an 8-7 penalty shootouts after the entire game to make it a record 11 trophies in the club’s history.
