Black Stars Coach Gets Another Injury Boost Ahead of World Cup

Head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Otto Addo was given big lifeline over the weekend when several Ghanaian players showed class with their various clubs in the major European leagues.

The Black Stars will be at the 2022 FIFA World Cup after going past their rivals, the Super Eagles of Nigeria over a two leg qualifiers.

The qualification was the Black Stars’ fourth appearance at the global football showpiece after maiden appearance in Germany 2006.

There subsequent appearances in South Africa 2010 before showing up again in the hosted by Braxton 2014.

The four time African champions failed to qualify for the 2018 edition held in Russia but have managed to claim a spot in the next edition in Qatar later in November.

One of the players to scored over the weekend is Thomas Partey who made an injury return and netted Arsenal’s opening goal on ghe 29th minute at home to Tottenham Hotspur.
