Saka and Ramsdale celebrate PL centuries

The English Premier League recently awarded Aaron Ramsdale and Bukayo Saka after playing 100 games in the division. The duo received their award after reaching the highly coveted milestone given to every player who achieves a century of premier league appearances. Ramsdale and Saka are two skilled players that have impressed punters willing to wager in the EPL, whether using the Tonybet Bonus code or their real cash.

Bukayo Saka achieved his success during their 3-0 victory over Bournemouth in August, after making his EPL bow during the 2019 New Year’s Day while playing as a substitute against Fulham. That made Saka the first player born in this century to participate in the division.

In the process, the skilled attacker became the second youngest footballer to play 100 times in the English Premier League, coming behind Cesc Fabregas. Saka recorded 17 goals in his first 100 matches while assisting 15 more.

Meanwhile, Aaron Ramsdale finished his century back in April while playing against Crystal Palace, with his 100 matches stretching across three Premier League clubs. The shot-stopper made his English premier league debut with Bournemouth during the 2019/2020 season in their match against Sheffield United on the first day of the season.

Ramsdale went ahead to impress the fans and his coach, playing 37 games during that season before joining the Blades, where he always played league matches before moving to Emirates Stadium. Twelve out of his 22 clean sheets recorded in his first 100 league matches came last season, in a campaign that saw him get his first England caps.

Despite his impressive achievement, Aaron Ramsdale didn’t feature in England’s games against Germany or Italy during the international break. The Arsenal star player returned to club training without playing a single game on his international duty. Ramsdale remained as an unused substitute for three matches against Germany and Italy.

With Jordan Pickford expected to stay on the sidelines due to an injury, many Arsenal fans expected Aaron Ramsdale to deputize for these fixtures. However, Newcastle’s goalkeeper Nick Pope got the nod, leaving Ramsdale to warm the bench and failing to add three England caps to the numbers he has recorded so far.

The Gunners stopper has maintained an impressive form over the last 12 months, although the matches against Germany and Italy show he’s third in England’s pecking order. Pickford seems likely to start at the Qatar world cup this year if he’s fit, but Pope seems to have the edge over Ramsdale. However, Pope made a huge mistake against Germany last week.
