Ghanaian musician Okese 1 has threatened to file a lawsuit against the organizers of the just ended event Global Citizen concert Ghanaian DJ and Hypeman for performing his song on stage.
The Global Citizen took place in Black Star Square Accra, Ghana, and on Great Lawn in Central Park in New York City, USA, on 24 September.

Angry Okese 1 who was reacting to the issue on social media mentioned how he has been sidelined by industry players for while. Hence, he disclosed that he will not allow anyone to use his intellectual property without his knowledge.

Okese 1 further stated that he was not contacted prior to using his song and that there was no agreement whatsoever in relation to using his song.
He wrote, So who was that actually performing Na today at the Global Citizen Show … Y’all blackball me tryna hide me n still use my songs to promote yo Shows!!!! We had no contract No settlements made!!! I’m using y’all“
