“The Hunger to Perform Cost Ghana Against Brazil” – John Paintsil

Ex-Ghana international, John Paintsil has indicated that, the urge to do well cost the Black Stars against Brazil.

The Black Stars lost 3-0 against the record World Cup holders in a pre tournament friendly at the Stade Oceane in Le Havre, France.

A header by Paris St Germain defender, Marquinhos and a double from Tottenham Hotspur forward, Richarlison nailed the 21-time African champions

“When players want to do well for the nation, these things happen.

“They are youth experience and the more they play the more they understand themselves.

“What happened per my experience, I think the boys wanted to do extra.

“They wanted to beat the Brazilians at all costs and what thing occurs, it can also course damage for the team.

“So with time they will understand how to approach such games and like I said, the second half was a good one.

“If they had started like that, I don’t think Brazil would have scored three goals.” John Paintsil told Radio Gold Talk Sport.

The Black Stars will next play Nicaragua on Tuesday, September 23 in Spain.
