Budding Ghanaian musician Ras Trusty has won the Dancehall Artiste of the year at the just-ended Dagaaba – Frafra Awards festival.
The 2022 edition of the Dagaaba – Frafra (Dafra) music awards was held on September 24, 2022, at the Upper West Regional capital, Wa.

History has it that Dagaaba and Frafra were once family relatives ( brothers ) and later departed from each other to different lands to settle due to some disagreements over dog heads.
The disagreement resulted from food insecurity known as Hyperphagia in the 18th century when the brothers slaughtered the common animal dog for a meal. The Dagaaba brother traveled to the West (Upper Wast region), and the Frafra brother on the other hand traveled to the East (Upper East region).
