Nana Akomea ‘Speechless’ After Randy Abbey Questioned Him About A Claim He Made About JM

The issue of Aisha Huang has suddenly become a major topic in the country. Her arrest has raised eyebrows as to how come the galamsey queen was able to maneuver her way back into the country after earlier claims that she had been deported. It is unclear if she was deported, repatriated or she fled as various commentary have contradicted each other.

One of the interesting developments and counter arguments from the side of the ruling government is that the erstwhile John Mahama government also had the chance to arrest Aisha Huang and later freed her on 3 different occasions. This version has been trending for a while and many have been raising questions as to whether this really happened.

Nana Akomea while speaking on Aisha Huang noted that the NDC are politicizing the issue of galamsey. He mentioned that during the last elections the NPP lost so much votes in galamsey areas because the NDC used it against them. Nana reiterated the issue that under John Mahama Aisha was arrested on 3 separate occasions and left to go.

Randy Abbey then put it to Nana and questioned if indeed Aisha was arrested and Nana noted that yes she was arrested, when asked of the dates he declined to answer that question. Randy Abbey went ahead to ask if Aisha when arrested she was ever arraigned before a court. In a subdued manner, Nana Akomea gave a No and said that never happened. He however insisted that Aisha was arrested and freed.

Aisha Huang and her accomplices are expected in court on Tuesday. The Attorney General has filed 4 new charges against her and it is expected that her lawyer a defense to that effect. Her lawyer, Effah Dartey has boldly said that he will do everything to get his client acquitted.
