Ghana FA Reportedly In Chase of Promising International Star

A very exciting prospect at the Netherlands U21 level, Jeremie Frimpong according to reports is being chased by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Rated among the best U21 right-wing backs in the European purview currently, the 21-year-old is understood yet to play at the senior level of the Dutch national team as he has represented the U19 and U20 sides and now at the U21 level – making him eligible to switch nationality to Ghana.

Sameish to Inaki Williams, Mohammed Salisu, and Tariq Lamptey who did so months ago – and even made their debut against Brazil.

Alongside Ransford Konigsdorffer and Patric Pfeiffer ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

A top-notch star at club level [Bayer Leverkusen], Frimpong in 10 outings this season so far has scored two goals and provided two assists as the domestic and UEFA Champions League are concerned.

He started his early football career at Manchester City before sealing a move to Scottish side Celtic in 2019 – and now at the German Bundesliga outfit, where he joined in the summer of 2021 at a reported fee of €11m.
