Andre Ayew, captain of Ghana, has said that their opponents on Friday, Brazil, are the greatest in the world right now.
The Al Sadd striker acknowledged the Selecao’s superiority but claimed his team was prepared to fight them in whatever manner necessary.
On Friday, September 23, 2022, Ghana and Brazil will play in a highly publicized international friendly at Le Havre, France.
Inaki Williams, a striker for Athletic Bilbao, and Tariq Lamptey, a star for Brighton and Hove Albion, have both switched their nationalities to play for the Black Stars.
During a news conference before Ghana’s game against Brazil, Ayew said that Brazil is the best team in the world.
“Brazil currently for me is the best in the world. So we are playing the best and we have to acknowledge that they have players playing in the top clubs, week-in week-out, winning trophies,” the Black Stars captain said.

“We are not going to compare ourselves to them. That will be making mistake but we are going to challenge and go into the battle, that’s 100%.”
In the current Cola-Cola FIFA World ranking, the South American country is atop the list, while Ghana is at the bottom.
In Qatar, Otto Addo’s squad will face off against Uruguay, Portugal, and South Korea in a challenging group.
