George Mfegue, a striker for Asante Kotoko, is reportedly close to signing with Egyptian club Ismaily SC.

The 25-year-old player signed with the Porcupine Warriors at the end of the previous season and played a key role in the team’s Premier League championship run with Prosper Narteh Ogum at the helm.

In his first season with Kotoko, the Cameroonian foreigner scored nine goals.

Franck Mbella, a countryman, has officially transferred from Kotoko to Al Masry SC.

Mfegue signed a two-year agreement with Asante Kotoko just before the start of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.
