There has been an argument about which president in the history of the fourth Republic was able to solve the electricity crisis, which is popularly termed as Dumsor. There have been two schools of thought on this matter and each has a different perceptive about who was able to stop Dumsor in Ghana.
Speaking on Sunyani FM today 19th September 2022, the communication team officer for the National Democratic Congress in Dorwa West debates Nana Kumi Abrefa who represents NPP in the discussion. Nama Kumi Abrefa made it known that the dumsor was solved by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo and not His Excellency the former President John Dramani Mahama. Based on the words of Nana Kumi, the NDC communication team member rise to defend John Dramani Mahama to render Nana Kumi’s argument useless.
” There is no need to trust what the NPP Communication team member was saying. Mahama bought car power, Ameri, and other electrical power sources to supplement the Akosombo Dam. It is never true that Nana Addo Solved Dumsor in Ghana. I will defend John Mahama and Ghanaians must be grateful to Mahama for solving Dumsor before leaving office”. – NDC Communication team officer speaks.
