The popularly known USA-based Ghanaian broadcast journalist has recently done the unexpected after he boldly came out to expose the incumbent President, Nana Akufo Addo over the ‘galamsey queen’, Aisha Huang’s case brouhaha.
Not long ago, the Attorney General issued four new charges against Aisha Huang which undoubtedly came as a huge surprise to most Ghanaians as individuals never expected such an act from the Akufo Addo government.
Speaking on the most anticipated “Loud Silence Media” show, the USA-based Ghanaian broadcast journalist, Kevin Taylor revealed that, the reason why the incumbent President, Nana Akufo Addo recently ordered the Attorney General, Godfred Dame to prosecute Aisha Huang was that, he was the person in authority alongside the executive arm of government who prevented the accused from being prosecuted when she was arraigned before the court in 2018.
“After saying he never knew Aisha Huang was deported, he has quickly come out to claim that the Attorney General should prosecute her. This simply means that, the first time in 2018 when Aisha Huang was being prosecuted, Akufo Addo and the executive arm of government stopped it. Akufo Addo instructed the Attorney General to discontinue the case because today, you are instructing the Attorney General to prosecute Aisha Huang. So, it is becoming clear that the first time Aisha Huang was sent to the court, it was the President that instructed the Attorney General to discontinue the case; that is why today, he is now instructing the Attorney General to go and prosecute Aisha Huang. Till date, we have not been told why the Attorney General discontinued the case in 2018. The Attorney General’s office have not come out to explain why a whole government will discontinue a case like that. Akufo Addo lied to Ghanaians”, Kevin Taylor emphatically revealed.
