In the English premier league, there are five football clubs that have won the UEFA Champions League trophy. These five clubs are Manchester United, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest and Chelsea. Three of these football clubs are known popularly because, many people have seen them winning the UEFA Champions League trophies. These three clubs are Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea.
Aside these three football clubs, are Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest. These clubs are football clubs that many people do not know that they have won the UEFA Champions League trophy.
In this article, I bring to you the years in which these clubs won the UEFA Champions League;
1. Aston Villa defeated bundesliga winner Bayern Munich 1-0 at De Kuip in Rotterdam, Netherlands to win the European Cup in 1982.
2. Nottingham Forest have won two UEFA Champions League trophies. Nottingham Forest won the first one in the year 1978 to 1979 season. And the second one was won on 1979 to 1980 season. They scored Sweden football club Malmo FF in Olympiastadion in Munich to win their first ever European Cup. They also battled with Hamburg in the next season and won it again.
