Tilapia the Cartoonist has caused stir again as he cartooned President Akufo-Addo and Ken Ofori-Atta fighting economic war.
“Commander-in-Chief, Ukraine is winning the war. oo, what will be your excuse of loosing the economic war?” Tilapia asked.
In the cartoon, the Financial Minister Ken-Ofori-Atta is seen holding fire extinguisher to shoot it’s opponents in the economic war. Akufo-Addo is seen behind him perhaps giving him orders.The opponents of the economic war are; Food ,Transport Fares, Fuel, Light abd Pure water.
This cartoon comes as a background to the economic crisis facing Ghana. According to the ruling NPP, the reasons for high surge in fuel prices, food, water and transport fares and electricity tariffs are as a result of Russia and Ukraine war. They also blame the effects of COVID-19 to be another cause of the economic crisis.
