Popularly known as Wode Maya, Berthold Kobby Winkler Ackon has joined the beautiful table of men as he ties the knot with his longtime Kenyan girlfriend, Trudy.
The Ghanaian YouTube personality, vlogger, digital media influencer, and aeronautical engineer officially tied the knot with his girlfriend who is also a Vlogger at a private wedding held in Kenya on September 10, 2022.
Attended the wedding were Wode Maya’s uncle, a pastor who officiated the marriage ceremony, and other 4 undisclosed persons who were fled from Ghana to the wedding’s destination. It was also massively attended by the bride’s family members.
According to the conventional YouTuber, his 1000th video on his youtube channel has been purposely recorded and released in memory of the 10th death anniversary of his mother-in-law, also to mark the milestone he has chalked which will serve as a future reference to his unborn generation.
“I am a man of my word, and I decided to do something special on this day so that I can tell my children a beautiful story about my 1000th video. This marriage will unite Africa,” he said.
“My dad was so emotional. I have never seen my dad like that. It was like he was heartbroken… he made me cry. It was an emotional moment because he is my only parent,”, this Trudy said because today marks exactly 10 years since the demise of her mother.
The couple disclosed that they started dating three years ago and mentioned that more than enough of the wedding expenses didn’t come from their purses including money spent on buying the bride’s ring.
“God sent people our way to make this happen and we are so grateful,” the Kenyan YouTuber said.
“My ring is so expensive. I’m scared of walking with it in the streets of Nairobi,” Trudy added.
