22/23 UEFA Champions League Updates After Round 2: Group Stage Standing & Goal Charts

Round One of the UEFA Champions League is behind us – saw 15 wins and a draw alongside 47 goals scored and 39 provided assists, here are the latest updates on today’s [Tuesday] Round 2 group stage standing and goal charts.

Hard-fought victory against Ajax from home [2-1] as redemption for last week’s heavy humiliation by Napoli, Liverpool has climbed to the third position with 3 points and 2 goals deficits in Group A.

Though lost, Ajax are still on the pile of the group standing as they await results from Napoli and Rangers on Wednesday.

Defeated 4th place FC Porto from away by four goals to nil as their second consecutive win in the competition, Club Brugge are Group B leaders on 6 points and 5 goals margin.

Seconding the Belgium giants is Bayer Leverkusen who edged 3rd placed Atletico Madrid at home by two goals.

Placed two goals behind Barcelona to end their unbeaten streak this season- their second consecutive win in the competition, Bayern Munich are in 1st spot of Group C.

Behind the German champions are Barcelona, Inter Milan and Viktoria Plzen in 2nd, 3rd and 4th places respectively.
