The member of parliament for North Tongu constituency, Honorable Okudzeto Ablakwa has taken to his Facebook page to react to the president’s revelation about Aisha Huang’s alleged deportation in 2018.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo admitted on Stone City Radio that some uncertainty continues to surround the deportation claims about popular Chinese galamsey businesswoman Aisha Huang. He added that he is not sure whether Aisha Huang was deported back in 2018.
This statement from the president has generated several reactions on social media. Okudzeto Ablakwa has reacted to it and has asked several questions about it.
The first question Okudzeto Ablakwa asked is that; What has the president done to the government officials who misled him about Aisha Huang’s deportation? This is because the president clearly revealed in 2018 that Aisha Huang has been deported. The president even added that the deportation of Aisha Huang was a mistake.
“President Akufo-Addo became unsure about Aisha’s deportation? What steps has he taken since then to convince himself about the facts? What has he done to his officials confusing/misleading him? How does he assure the nation that, at best he isn’t sleeping on the job or at worst, he isn’t neck-deep in this grand conspiracy” he said.
Okudzeto Ablakwa has therefore made it clear to the president that he should not just prosecute Aisha Huang but also prosecute all persons involved in her return to Ghana, some government officials who gave the president wrong information in the first place.
