Ghana Premier League champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko recorded a slim win against CAF Champions League opponents, RC Kadiogo in the first leg of the Preliminary stages of the CAF Champions league.
The Kumasi based club were without their main striker Franck Etuoga, who was ruled out with a minor injury. However, it is expected that the player will be fit before the return leg on Sunday.
According to transfer expects, Franck Etouga is also closing in on a transfer to North African club, Al Masry. The Egyptian club are reportedly interested in signing the player and have had extensive negotiations with both the player and the Kumasi based club.
Etouga’s impressive season with Kotoko saw him become the highest goal scorer with 21 goals for the club last season and the second highest scorer in the league after Ashanti Gold’s player Yaw Annor.
Etouga attracted a lot of attention from clubs across Africa and even in Europe but Kotoko is yet to receive a bid for the player.Â
