Accra Hearts of Oak made a false start to their 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season when they fell to former Ghana Premier League champions, Aduana Stars.

Head coach of Hearts of Oak, Samuel Boadu says his charges did well despite losing to Aduana Stars fc in match day one.
“The boys did very well, they created a lot of chances but they squandered all the chances.
“But it’s rather unfortunate it is a little mistake that cost us the goal but we are not down, we are not down.
Accra Hearts of Oak have won the Ghana Premier League for 21 times and have claimed a record 12th FA Cup title at the expense of their rivals, Asante Kotoko.
