Ghanaian Afrobeat singer Kelvyn Brown, better known by his stage name Kelvyn Boy says that he kept his locks because he got the inspiration from Stonebwoy.

Kelvyn Boy and dancehall artist Stonebwoy used to be very close until the two separated in 2020 after a series of issues happened between them.

He lamented saying he was the one that brought Kelvynboy into the limelight, so he deems it wrong for anyone to make any comparison between the two.

I haven’t said anything about this case. But the said artiste (KelvynBoy) is someone I brought into the limelight. Sometimes I wish people will look at it from that perspective”, he said.

“It’s rather sad because this is someone I picked from nowhere. This is someone who was begging to be signed by me. I haven’t spoken about this issue and the reality of the issue is not what I want to delve into. I know that when the dusk proper settles, we will delve into it because Ghanaians deserve to know the truth,” he said in an interview.

In an interview on Hitz FM hosted by Andy Dosty, Kelvyn Boy disclosed that he looks up to his former boss Stonebwoy and that he kept his locks because he was an inspiration to him and had always wanted to sing like him.
